Kim and Ryan

The U Awards! What can I say about this “non-wedding?’ When Kim reached out about photographing an awards event to celebrate her marriage to Ryan, I was intrigued. The two had been married in a small ceremony on the beach, but wanted to throw a big party to acknowledge the people who have poured into their lives. The red carpet event was produced professionally by the couple, (who work in television and film production for a living). Complete with videos, trophies, live music, multiple dress changes for Kim, an open bar, and pint sized security guards, this alternative reception felt like it was straight out of the Oscars. The evening was concluded with an after party at the B.O.B. where an even larger group of friends and family danced the night away.
