Anneshia is this woman I am currently doing a project on. A recovering drug addict herself, Anneshia works with troubled youth and young adults in drug court. Today was my first day with her and I am curious to see where it will go, and what kind of access I will be able to gain.
Olivia Helms, 6, of Grandville clutches a shiny new purse outside her locker at Zion Christian Elementary on Friday before class. Olivia was surprised with the purse when an anonymous giver left it for her at the counter at Marshall’s on Tuesday, September 2. Oivia’s mom, Kristen explains the woman asked Olivia to help her pick out a purse for her granddaughter, then left it at the counter for Olivia. “It makes us now think, what can we do for someone else?” Kristen said. Olivia says this is her favorite new purse, and even carries some fairy dust in it.
Chris and I had amazing time camping in the Upper Peninsula for our two-year wedding anniversary. The weather was hot and beautiful. These are a few of my favorites from the trip. The first two are in Grand Marais, an adorable little northern Michigan town we biked around in. The last few are at Lake Superior.
