BreAnna Boss, 9, of Wyoming cut off 20 inches of her hair for Locks of Love “because some people who have cancer–they don’t have any hair!” she said. BreAnna, who struggles with her health as a dwarf, said she got the idea to donate when she heard about it on television.
I have started going through all my photos from Washington, working my way backwards from the Midwestern Ball. Michelle and Barack arrived around midnight last Tuesday after a performance by Sheryl Crow. Chris and I were pretty exhausted, having been up since 4:00 a.m. for the Inauguration, but it was still pretty cool to be in this close proximity of the new president and first lady.
This assignment was the coldest I have been this winter, it was crazy to watch the water turn to ice here. Luckily, I was not alone, Hollyn was there with me and we froze together. At one point the spray from a fire hose whipped right at us and sprinkled our faces with icy water. I kept my toes propped on my car heater for a good 20 minutes before they gained feeling back. Oh the joys of dedicated journalism!

The sextuplets are turning five this week, and Drew is two. “There’s never a dull moment,” said mom Amy VanHouten, “we have a lot of fun.” Amy says God has been good to her family as He continues to provide her husband Ben with a job during these tough economic times.
