Last weekend we had a great time staying in Warren with my brother and sister-in-law to celebrate Chris’ 29th. As we were loading up the car to go home their garden trellis caught my eye in that golden light time of day. It was distracting. I had to take pictures, and I left my cell phone behind.
For three generations my family spent summers on Lake of Bays in northern Ontario. These are the stone steps that led from the lake up to Sommerzeit, the log cabin my grandparents bought as a vacation home in the 1940s. My father and his brother, Fred, are pictured on the left circa 1962. I’m pictured on the right, circa 1990.
