This is such a sad, unfortunate story. National media swarmed the town and in a press conference while I was shooting video, this moment happened. I was able to switch from video to still mode and quickly move forward to make this image. To read our story, click here.
During the only neighborhood block party Chris and I have attended, someone told us their kids call our house the “gnrarly tree house,” because of our enourmous oak tree.

Slow news days often result in me wandering the little towns surrounding Grand Rapids, looking for photo packages to be made. Tuesday found me in the woods of Rockford, looking for snow pictorials. It was great. So quiet, so peaceful. So simple.
