I’ve been hanging out with the Kuncaitis family again, concentrating on how a family lives without power or heat in the winter. This outtake wouldn’t make print, but I liked the moment of of light, texture, and a kid just being a kid. (Grand Rapids Press Photo)

These photos kind of represent how I’ve been feeling lately. Foggy. Out of it. Not creative. Not excited. I’m hoping with the completion of my first trimester, energy and creative juices will return to me. In the meantime, I will continue to find joy in chocolate and……well pretty much just chocolate. When my photo editor asked me to find moments at the Gerald R. Ford Airport I was skeptical, but after spending an hour or so, I realized love actually is, all around. (Grand Rapids Press Photos)
