Walking back from an assignment the other day, I started shooting details of leaves as a distraction from my aching hips (yay for pregnancy). The assignment was about a group of men from a local ministry working on Blandford Nature Center’s trails. I had to hike quite a ways out to find them, and then no one was willing to let me take their picture. Could have been frustrated. Instead I just photographed leaves.
We spent this Memorial Day weekend mostly on the Lakeshore. Sunday we sailed with my dad in Muskegon and today we escaped the heat on the windy beach of Kirk Park. I brought my camera in tow but wasn’t motivated to take any pictures until this evening when we were grilling in the comfort of our backyard. I guess sometimes simple and familiar is more inspiring.
