The locals.

One of the nice things about visiting the U.P. after labor day is that many of the tourist traps have already closed for the season. As a result, we got a little taste of what life is like for the yoopers year-round. This photo is of a local bar in Paradise, Michigan.

Petoskey, Mackinac, Grand Marais

Our U.P. adventure started in Petoskey, up to Mackinac Island, and Grand Marais. The pier in Grand Marias is so desolate, alone on Lake Superior. I was glad Chris wore red that day 🙂
