“I wish I could fix it…I wish I could make it all better,” said Patricia Emkens of Grand Rapids, shown holding a teddy bear from the collection on her front lawn after the murders of her daughters, Amanda, 27, and Kimberlee, 23, and her granddaughter Marrissa, 10. Emkens said over 100 stuffed animals were placed in her yard, and is overwhelmed by the support. “Every day that we went by the house it kept growing,” she said.
