D.B. Henkel of Traverse City takes apart his sculpture, “At the end of the…” on Monday, October 9 in the B.O.B. parking lot after ArtPrize had officially ended. Henkel’s piece is made of colored glass panes, and weighs 17,000 pounds. “Next year I’m doing a giant painting,” Henkel said, “I’ve already started it.”
