Volunteers work to secure a piece of the new Briggs Park playground structure at 324 Knapp Street N.E. Friday as workers from Amway, the City of Grand Rapids, Creston Neighborhood Association, KaBOOM!, and Ottawa Hills High School came together to complete the project in one day. Volunteers started at 9:30 a.m. with a deployment ceremony and finished with a ribbon cutting at the end of the day. The park has new swings, slides, monkey bars, and a butterfly garden.
